KinPeak — the household budget you keep by hand
The household budget you keep by hand.
Once a month, confirm what changed, update your balances, and see what moved. KinPeak does the arithmetic — the debt-free date, the goal ETAs, the net worth — and never asks for your bank password.
For people who left Mint and went back to a spreadsheet.

Your spreadsheet is a ledger. KinPeak is a budget.
Same ritual — once a month, your own numbers — but it does the arithmetic you usually skip.
A debt-free date
See the month the last debt ends — not just today's balance.
Goal ETAs
Know when the emergency fund, vacation, or down payment actually lands.
Built for two
Both partners update. No version conflicts, no pasted-over formulas.
No bank login
You type the balances. We never see your transactions or sell your data.
Five minutes a month. On your phone or at your desk.
See how a month worksFive minutes, once a month
We call it the reckoning: you sit down, square what you owe against what you have, and close the month. Three steps, and most of it is one tap.
1
Confirm your lines
Every recurring line is already there with last month's number. Most months you press one button and you're done. When something changed, you say whether it changed once or for good.

The one question that makes it work
Groceries went from $620 to $690. In a spreadsheet you have two options: overwrite the old number and lose the history, or start a second tab and maintain both. Neither is honest for long.
KinPeak asks once: is this just this month, or the new normal? Choose just this month and only March records $690. Choose new normal and the old line closes in February, a new one opens in March, and every earlier month keeps exactly what it had.
Groceries
Changed to the new normal in March
| Month | Expected | Actual |
|---|---|---|
| Jan 2026 | $620 | $611 |
| Feb 2026 | $620 | $634 |
| Mar 2026 | $690 | $690 |
| Apr 2026 | $690 | — |
History stays as it was recorded. Only the months from March forward expect $690.
What winter costs
Insurance, road tax, Christmas, the vet. They aren't monthly bills, so a spreadsheet leaves them out — and then a $840 renewal lands in a month that was supposed to be fine.
KinPeak calls this the larder. You put the yearly and quarterly costs in once, and they get spread across the months so the monthly number is honest. It's what you fill in autumn so winter doesn't hurt.
The larder
Four costs, put aside a little each month
| Cost | When | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| Car insurance$840 | Every 6 months | $140 |
| Property tax$1,260 | Every quarter | $420 |
| Christmas$900 | Once a year | $75 |
| Vet and pet$480 | Once a year | $40 |
$675 a month set aside, so none of these is ever a surprise.
Avalanche or snowball, your call
Two orderings, the same money. Type your own numbers and see what each one actually costs you.
Avalanche
Pay the highest interest rate first. Every extra dollar goes where it stops the most interest, so it costs the least overall. The first payoff can take a while, which is why some people don't stick with it.
Snowball
Pay the smallest balance first. You close an account sooner and the freed-up minimum rolls into the next one. It usually costs a little more in interest, and it is easier to keep doing.
Try it with your numbers
| Debt | Balance | APR % | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
avalanche
Apr 2031
55 months · $5,063 interest
snowball
Apr 2031
55 months · $5,063 interest
Both orderings finish within a month of each other on these numbers.
Estimates from the figures you enter. Not advice on which debts to pay or products to choose.
There's nothing here to leak
We never ask for your bank login, so there's no credential to steal. This isn't a feature we haven't got around to. Typing your own numbers is the product: it takes five minutes a month, it makes you look at your money, and it means a breach here would expose a list of figures you already knew.
What a bank-connected app holds
- Your bank credentials, or a token that acts like them
- Every transaction you've made, indefinitely
- Merchant names, locations and timestamps
- A copy of all of it at an aggregator you never chose
What KinPeak holds
- The numbers you chose to type
- The month they belong to
- Nothing else
- No Plaid, no aggregators
- No transaction feed
- No data sold, ever
- Export everything, any time
- Delete everything in one click
- One email a month, and that's all

One price, both of you
$48 once a year — $4 a month — or $8 a month if you'd rather pay as you go. Thirty days free, no card. There's no free tier because a free tier would have to be paid for by selling something — and the only thing we'd have to sell is your money data.
- Both people in a household
- Unlimited budget lines, accounts and goals
- Debt payoff, sinking funds and goal ETAs
- Full history, month by month
- CSV and JSON export whenever you want it
- One email a month, nothing else
Or $8 a month, if you'd rather pay monthly.
Cancel any time from settings, and your export still works after you do.
Questions people ask
- How can it be accurate if it doesn't see my transactions?
- It isn't trying to catch every coffee. It tracks the shape of your money — what comes in, what goes out on repeat, what you owe — which is what actually moves your debt-free date. Precision on lattes has never paid off a car loan.
- Isn't typing it in yourself a chore?
- It's one pre-filled screen a month where most rows need one tap. That's less work than correcting a feed that keeps filing your pharmacy as entertainment.
- What if I skip a month?
- Nothing breaks and nothing nags. The month waits. Confirm two at once when you come back, and the history simply shows the gap.
- Why should I trust you with my numbers?
- You're giving us numbers you chose to type, not access to your accounts. Export everything whenever you want. Delete everything in one click.
- Kin-what?
- Kin is the people you share money with. Peak is where you're taking it. KinPeak — the household budget you keep by hand.
- Is this financial advice?
- No. KinPeak does arithmetic on numbers you supply. It doesn't recommend products, and it isn't a substitute for a financial adviser.
